Videojogos2013 – Conferência de Ciências e Artes dos Videojogos is an event, organized by Universidade de Coimbra (http://www.uc.pt) and the SPC - Portuguese Association of Videogames Sciences (http://www.spcvideojogos.org/), this last year with the support of TRANSCREATIVA, an InterREG Sudoe project (http://www.transcreativa.eu).

Videojogos2013' s theme is about "Art in game" and builds on diverse critical reflections about self-expression, creativity and games, from authors and creators along the player experience's perspective.

SPC's conferences are annual events to promote the portuguese videogame scientific culture, research and industry. A multidisciplinary event, Videojogos seek contributions from different fields and knowledge bodies, promoting the study, practice analysis and market and industry applications.

This conference on Science and Art in Videogames had the participation of researchers and professionals of videogames, for project and work dissemination and experience sharing among the academic and industry communities. More information: http://vj2013.dei.uc.pt/.

TRANSCREATIVA supported the "Game Heritage Workshop", held on Thursday, Sep 26 afternoon. In this workshop, the post-mortem of the Portugal 1111 (a portuguese historical game) design and development process opened the discussion of heritage content valorization through the use of technology and new media and the challenges that implies (find qualified human resources, do effective team management, competences development and overall multicultural and multidiscipline confluence).
